NYPD DETECTIVE GOES VIRAL AFTER BEING SPOTTED POLE DANCING IN MUSIC VIDEO
An NYPD Detective has been receiving backlash after appearing in a raunchy pole-dancing video that’s gone viral.
Melissa Mercado, who’s been with New York’s Finest for seven years, showed up in a music video released on WorldStar Hip Hop just a few weeks ago, where she’s seen flaunting her moves in just a thong and a revealing bra. “I’m at a loss for words,” one shocked detective commented.
Her performance is part of the track “Doin That” by Hempstead rapper S-Quire, whose real name is Phavian Winfield, according to a report by Chartmetric. Mercado, a grade 3 detective earning $144,000 a year and stationed in the Bronx’s special victims unit, has been with the force since 2018, according to official records.
The New York Post contacted a police union source who noted, “What she’s doing really has nothing to do with her as an employee, as an NYC detective. She’s not wearing NYPD paraphernalia. Nothing in the video says she’s a detective.”
