Former ‘Ned’s Declassified’ Star Gets a Lifeline as Co-Stars Rally to Save Him”

Help is finally coming from all sides for Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide alum Tylor Chase, and one powerful moment of kindness is touching hearts across the internet.

This week, former co-star Daniel Curtis Lee stepped in to help his longtime friend who has been struggling with homelessness. In an emotional gesture, Daniel personally drove nearly 50 miles from Los Angeles to Riverside, California, to meet Tylor and make sure he had a safe place to sleep — just in time for an incoming Southern California rainstorm.

Daniel shared a heartfelt video with TMZ showing the moment he checked Tylor into a modest motel, offering him shelter, warmth, and dignity for the night. Before settling in, the two spent time together walking around, catching up, and sharing pizza — a simple but meaningful reminder of their bond from years ago.

“I just wanted to make sure he was safe,” Daniel explained, adding that he plans to stay in touch and continue supporting Tylor however he can going forward.

The situation has deeply affected fans and former castmates alike. Earlier, Mighty Ducks star Shaun Weiss also reached out, offering Tylor a place at a recovery facility he’s connected with. However, Daniel revealed that Tylor has been hesitant to accept help involving hospitals or treatment centers, despite repeated encouragement.

Daniel says he still sees enormous potential in Tylor and hopes this moment marks the beginning of something better. For now, he respects that Tylor feels most comfortable living unhoused, even as friends continue to worry and hope for change.

Another Ned’s Declassified alum, Devon Werkheiser, previously shared his heartbreak over the situation, noting how addiction and mental health struggles can make it incredibly difficult to help someone — even when the love and support are there. Still, Devon remains hopeful that the renewed attention will lead to real help, healing, and ultimately, a brighter future.

Tylor Chase’s story is a sobering reminder that fame doesn’t protect people from hardship — but it also shows the power of compassion, friendship, and showing up when it matters most. Sometimes, one safe night, one caring gesture, and one familiar face can make all the difference.
