Kids YouTube Sensation Ms Rachel Says LGBTQ+ Allyship Is Important As A Christian
Toddler YouTube sensation Ms Rachel has made her stance on LGBTQ+ inclusion clear, saying everyone is welcome in her classroom. The popular educator and content creator, whose real name is Rachel Griffin-Accurso, shared a message of inclusivity on Instagram on December 4.
Known for her educational videos aimed at young children, Ms Rachel has built a massive following by focusing on kindness, learning, and emotional development. Her latest post quickly drew attention for its clear and unapologetic message of acceptance.
The message shared with followers
Ms Rachel posted a graphic to Instagram stating: “Just so you know, you are welcome in Ms Rachel’s classroom [and] I love you.”
The image went on to list a wide range of people she says are embraced by her platform. These included “people who are trans, gay, nonbinary, people who are Somali, people of any religion – Muslim, Jewish, Christian or not religious.”
The list also mentioned “people who use food stamps, Democrats, Republicans, people who are undocumented, people who hate me.”
The post was widely shared and praised by many fans for its warmth and clarity.
Faith and inclusion
In the comments section, Ms Rachel addressed her Christian faith and how it shapes her views.
“Also I’m Christian and I feel in my soul and my prayers (and Jesus’s example) no one is to be excluded,” she wrote.

Her statement was seen by supporters as a response to criticism that faith and LGBTQ+ inclusion cannot coexist. Many parents thanked her for modeling compassion and acceptance to young audiences.
Previous backlash and boycott calls
Ms Rachel has previously faced criticism from right-wing activists over her LGBTQ+ allyship. She has been the target of boycott calls for celebrating Pride and for featuring non-binary musician Jules Hoffman in her videos. Hoffman, who uses gender-neutral pronouns, appeared in content aimed at children, which sparked backlash from conservative commentators.
Ms Rachel’s response to critics
Responding to criticism at the time, Ms Rachel refused to back down.
“Hurtful videos and comments, no matter how much attention they get, will not bring you what you want,” she said.
“Only love can do that.”
Despite ongoing attacks, Ms Rachel has continued to promote inclusion and kindness as core values of her platform.
